Account settings & business info

Account Settings is about you and your business. How your agent behaves is a different page — that's AI Agent in the sidebar.

Finding it

Open the account menu in the top right of the dashboard — your initials or avatar, your name and your business name. It has four items: Account Settings, Billing & Subscription, Help Center, and Sign Out.

Account Settings has three tabs: Profile, Business and Notifications.

Profile

FieldWhat it's for
Full nameHow the dashboard greets you, and what's attributed to you on contact notes.
EmailYour login, and the single address every Talkybara email goes to. Changing it requires confirming the new address.
Personal phone numberYour own mobile — not your business line. Verified by a texted code. Needed for post-call SMS summaries, and used to recover your login email if you ever forget it.

The overage toggle is also on this tab — see Turning overage on or off — as is the Danger Zone at the bottom.

Verify your personal phone even if you don't want the texts

It's the mechanism that recovers your login email if you forget which address you signed up with. Two minutes now, and one fewer way to be locked out later. See Resetting your password.

Business

  • Business name — what your agent says when it answers.
  • Business hours — per day, with days you're closed. See Business hours.
  • Timezone — set when you claimed your number, edited here. Everything scheduling-related depends on it.
  • Address — so your agent can tell callers where you are.

Your phone number isn't on this tab. Number settings — including changing it and setting up forwarding — live on Phone Setup. See Call forwarding vs. using your Talkybara number directly.

Notifications

Three toggles controlling what reaches you: every-call transcript emails, the weekly summary, and post-call SMS. See Managing notification preferences.

Deleting your account

At the bottom of the Profile tab, in the Danger Zone. It requires a typed confirmation, because it's genuinely irreversible once it runs.

What you're offered depends on whether you have an active subscription:

  • With an active subscription, you choose: delete everything now and forgo the time and minutes you've already paid for, or schedule the deletion for the end of your current plan so you use what you paid for first.
  • Without one, deletion proceeds directly.

Nothing happens for 24 hours

Whichever path you pick, there's a 24-hour hold before anything is actually carried out, and a confirmation email goes out immediately. While the hold is running you can reverse it from this same page. Nothing has happened yet, so reverting genuinely puts everything back.

Export anything you want to keep before the hold expires — see Exporting data to CSV.

If what you actually want is to stop paying while keeping your data, that's cancelling, not deleting. See Upgrading, downgrading, and canceling.

Account Settings vs. AI Agent

If you're hunting for greeting, tone, voice, transfers, services or booking rules, you're on the wrong page — those are all under AI Agent in the sidebar. Account Settings never changes anything a caller hears.
